That Indie at the CIIT Career Fair 2019

I know what you're thinking. What's a freelancer like me doing in a career fair like this?

Enlightening graduating students about that brave new world of freelancing, that's what. Because like I keep saying, you CAN create a career out of being an independent professional. All you have to do is put your head and heart into it, make your passion make you profit, and set a serious goal. Because it isn't a career without professional progress, right?

I talked about Indiepreneurship and showed students how they can create their own career ladder (as opposed to the usual super straightforward, cut and dry corporate ladder) armed with their mad skills, available technology, and a whole lot of moxie.

I had my own booth and hung around with legit companies showcasing their new hardware, softwares, and internship invites.

Me? I had my books. :P

And that's why I'm here. Major props to the CIIT College of Technology and Arts for being open-minded and forward-thinking! :)
